Established in late 2024, Jansma Shipping combines a strong commitment to sustainability with decades of maritime expertise to deliver practical solutions for a greener future. 

The Company marks the start of a powerful collaboration between co-founders André Jansma and Almar van Herk, both seasoned professionals with extensive experience in the maritime industry. André, a shipbuilder since 2012, brings a lifetime of maritime knowledge, having grown up as the child of inland shipping operators, and has worked in both shipbuilding and offshore sectors. Almar brings 17 years of leadership experience at KOTUG, during which he established numerous new maritime ventures worldwide. He successfully spearheaded operations on a global scale and was fundamental to the launch of world’s first 100% electric pusher tug in 2021, demonstrating his strategic vision and commitment to innovation. Together, their combined expertise and passion for sustainability, form the foundation of Jansma Shipping.
